Scholarship Award Amount: $1,000 Awarded by the College of Biological Sciences Dean’s Office Recognized during the College’s Awards Ceremony in June 3, 2023 Applications due March 15, 2023 NOTE: All qualified applicants will be required to verify acceptance into a teaching credential program starting in 2023.
Rost Family Trust Biology K-12 Education Scholarship
The Rost Family Scholarship recognizes the critical role K-12 science teachers play in sparking the curiosity of young minds. The Rost Family Scholarship will support one student graduating in during the 2022-23 academic year with a degree from any major in the College of Biological Sciences. The graduating senior must be committed to becoming a K-12 science teacher following graduation and accepted into a teaching credential program. The selection of the scholarship recipient is also based on academic merit, which requires a minimum cumulative grade point average (currently 3.25).
