Application Information

Through this portal, students can submit a single application for multiple awards. To be considered for all CBS philanthropically funded undergraduate research awards, apply to the Dean's Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP).

By submitting your application to SURP, you will be considered for all awards, including:

  3. Charles and Nanci Cooper Experiential Learning Fund
  4. John Cuppoletti and Danuta H. Malinowska Award in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

  6. Roy H. Doi Undergraduate Research Award
  7. Stacey Roberts and Michael Lassner Award
  8. John R. Roth Undergraduate Research Award
  9. Robert S. Blumberg Undergraduate Research Award
  10. CBS Dean's Circle Summer Undergraduate Research Award
  11. Dr. Ronald J. Smith P’11 and Robyn L. Smith ’11 Quantitative Biology Research Award

Stacey Roberts and Michael Lassner Award (Genome Center)

Stacey Roberts and Michael Lassner Award have two awards available for summer research in the Genome Center. The student must have a 3.25 GPA and be sophomore, junior or senior standing. The student must be interested in applying modern technology to agriculture or plant sciences in its broadest terms. Preference (not a requirement) for the award should be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Awardees must be majoring in one of these areas:
College of Biological Sciences: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biological Science, Cellular Biology, Genetics and Genomics, Microbiology or Plant Biology.
College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences: Biotechnology, Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry, Plant Sciences or Viticulture and Enology.
