College of Biological Sciences Summer Research Awards

Stacey Roberts and Michael Lassner Award (Genome Center)

Stacey Roberts and Michael Lassner Award have two awards available for summer research in the Genome Center. The student must have a 3.25 GPA and be sophomore, junior or senior standing. The student must be interested in applying modern technology to agriculture or plant sciences in its broadest terms. Preference (not a requirement) for the award should be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Awardees must be majoring in one of these areas:
College of Biological Sciences: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biological Science, Cellular Biology, Genetics and Genomics, Microbiology or Plant Biology.
College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences: Biotechnology, Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry, Plant Sciences or Viticulture and Enology.

Charles and Nanci Cooper Undergraduate Research Award (Genome Center)

Charles and Nanci Cooper Undergraduate Research Award have two awards available for summer research in the Genome Center. The award can go to any CBS major who has an interest in gaining research experience in the UC Davis Genome Center. The fund may be used for expenses including, but not limited to, student awards, research supplies, travel experiences and/or stipends.

Roy H. Doi Undergraduate Research Award (MCB)

Roy H. Doi Undergraduate Research Award has one award available for summer research. The undergraduate student much conduct research in a lab of an MCB faculty member, but can be from any major with sophomore through senior class standing. Preference will be given to first-gen student and/or those student who have financial need.

John Cuppoletti and Danuta Malinowska Award in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (MCB)

John Cuppoletti and Danuta Malinowska Award in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has one award available for summer research. The undergraduate awardee must be a transfer student, majoring in either Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or Genetics and Genomic. Preference (not required) will be given to underrepresented and first-gen students.
