Extracellular vesicles, drug delivery.

Research Interests

My primarily research focus is extracellular vesicles - nano-sized messengers secreted by all cell types. These natural cargo-parcels take part in cellular communications with biological messages they carry, in the form of proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. The "messages" of extracellular vesicles are highly plastic, and change with the changing physiological conditions of the cell. As messengers, extracellular vesicles have innate properties that makes them ideal for the delivery of therapeutics, a field that I wish to investigate further.
