Research Interest Summary
I am interested in host-parasite interactions, molecular genetics, cell signaling and communication pathways, and cytoskeletal network dynamics.
Research Interests
My research focuses on the ingestion mechanisms of the protozoan parasite, Entamoeba histolytica, on the human cell. I am currently exploring the molecular mechanisms involved in amoebic trogocytosis, the process in which amoebae "bite" and consume pieces of the living host cell.
